bet365 Mobile App

Bet365 from our experience has proven to be one of the most reliable bookies around. Given their reputation as a premier online bookie you expect a lot from them, but sometimes bookmakers can get it all wrong when it comes to their betting apps. So it’s interesting to see if the bet365 mobile app meets the high standards the company has set in other areas.

So putting the mobile app to the genuine test, spending hours going through its characteristics and functionality, rating it and comparing it with other major betting sites is what we are all about.

When you look at the features of the bet365 app there is a lot going on, it is compatible with three different mobile platforms, supports more live-stream sports than anywhere else, and has everything in it that you will find on their website.

But that doesn’t necessarily mean it works when it’s in use. Apps for sports betting must be flawlessly built with seamless navigation having a great list of features is no good if you can’t put them all together in an easy to use interface.

The mobile app is rapidly becoming bet365’s main focus. Everyone is moving away from using a PC, certainly, for betting anyway, to the smartphone to place sports bets, so it’s important that if bet365 want to stay dominant, they put as much effort into the app as they can. The great thing is that all the bet365 promotions work on the mobile version as well as the desktop and laptop versions of the site.

bet365 Android App

bet365s android app isn’t available on Google play or any other official platform. So if you have downloaded the bet365 android app from anywhere else, or downloaded a bet365 apk file from an unofficial source, I would recommend you stop using it.

It’s only been quite recently that betting companies have been able to develop official android apps as they weren’t allowed in the Google play store.

However, if you want to use bet365 android then the site is fully compatible with your mobile device using the inbuilt web browser that comes with your phone.

bet365 iOS & Apple Devices

The bet365 iOS app is available to download from the Apple Store, but you will need an account with bet365 in order to log in. You can create one once you have downloaded the app and installed it on your Apple device.

What’s Great About bet365s Mobile App?

As I have already said, the mobile app from bet365 is one of the most complete sports betting apps from all the bookmakers’ out there. The whole selection of sports and betting markets is pretty much covered. A few sports and promotions are missing, but as this bookie has one of the largest lists of both, it can be easily forgiven.

In addition, the depth of coverage on the online platform for each sports market is matched. Mobile apps are mainly used to bet in-play, and bet365 does not make any mistakes with the app’s in-play feature. The feature works smoothly, the odds change rapidly, and any bet delays are minimized.

Our tests found the odds to be the same as the website version of the site, so you can be sure you get the same price for in-play bets on the mobile app from bet365 as you do on the website.

The design is almost exactly like the website version, with the only major differences coming from the fact that you have to change the layout of the screen because a mobile screen is smaller to work with than the PC or laptop version.

The layout is very similar, with sports listed in the middle of the main page (but included in a drop-down A-Z menu on a mobile) and in-play action snippets, offers and upcoming highlights.

There are fast links to the major sports across the top, which is a useful addition because it prevents the need to scroll down to find some sports.

The excellent statistics remain when in-play, but they are listed along with the scoreboard on the right side, unlike on the PC version. If you want to check your bets or cash out in-play, you also need to reach the bet slip via a separate tab. Live streaming is also available on mobile too but more on that later.

How Easy Is It to Placing Bets?

A well-designed system means that you should never be more than five clicks away from placing a bet on the mobile app. This can even be reduced significantly in some instances, such as if you know your fixture is currently in-play. Otherwise, it’s simply a case of navigating to the desired event from the homepage.

This is essential in fast-paced sports like tennis and football where when you are placing bets on mobile devices or live betting you want it to be as fast as possible so that you can secure the best odds. This is one of the reasons why mobile devices are essential for tennis betting or football betting but less important for sports like horse racing.

After choosing the desired sport, the next page will display the day’s fixtures for that sport, available leagues and tournaments. After choosing the relevant competition, the fixtures for that competition will show.

Just like with the website version, select your bets by tapping (rather than clicking) on the odds of the selection of choice. Doing this will automatically bring up a tab for the bet slip at the bottom of the screen, so tap the bet slip tab if you’re just placing a single, or continue adding selections before heading to the slip for multiple bets.

Things operate the same way as with the mobile platform as the desktop version once in the bet slip. Just enter the stake in the box and hit the bet box. Before the bet is finalised, you will be asked to verify the bet.

If the odds change for an in-play bet, you will be asked to accept the new odds before placing a bet. Once you place bets, you can discover them at the top of the page in the My Bets tab. You can check any bets you have made here, or cash out any live bets if you wish.

Functionality, navigation and live betting

A massive plus is the navigation is seamless and highly user-friendly and to be honest if bet365 got this wrong then nothing else really matters. There are links to the sports markets, in-play betting and bet slip along the top, while at the top right of the screen there is a link to the account section containing all the account information along with links to the help section and responsible gambling.

The use of fast links on the primary page for the major sports is particularly helpful as it saves the user from having to open the drop-down list of sports whenever they want to access a significant industry such as football, tennis or horse racing.

All in all, as simple and seamless as possible, navigation around the app.

Our tests always discovered the app to run smoothly and be responsive, whether on a mobile device or an iPad. You can also seamlessly edit your bet on the phone, go over to the portable bet slip and immediately create all the adjustments you need.

Any in-play bet delay was held to a minimum and odds were rapidly updated. This obviously relies on the strength of your internet connection, but the app always went smoothly during testing. Live-streaming is one region where bet365 beats everyone else.

When viewing live streams on the mobile application, standard limitations apply: geo-location, having funds in your betting wallet and/or placing a bet in the last 24 hours are the criteria for using the live streaming service.

Anything else to add

We could go on and one with a whole list of features but we’ve covered the main ones already and at this point if you are still not convinced it’s probably worth trying another operator.

The only real thing to add is that the promotions and offers all work on mobile as well as the desktop version. These can be discovered in the offers tab, unsurprisingly, and from time to time you will see app-only offers.

Casino Apps & Slots

You can also take a look at bet365’s other services like casino, slots poker and bingo if you so wish and there are also dedicated apps for these services in addition to the sportsbook app.

Poker, bingo, casino and Vegas casino need to be downloaded separately and given the number of features in all of these they deserve a review on their own right. Casino apps are really popular right now and it’s becoming a popular way to place some of your favourite games online.

Conclusion

It’s safe to say it’s one of the best sports betting apps around. The bet365 app has very little faults, making it one of our favourite betting apps. It has all the features of the desktop and laptop version with the added benefit that you can play on the go.

There are a few better betting choices than what bet365 are offering here. The interface is highly user-friendly and with things changing all the time withing the betting industry the app operates seamlessly.

If you’re a fan of live streaming while betting, this is certainly your app of choice. To download the app then you can click here.
